After being in CA for 10+ years, i finally got myself a national parks and federal recreational lands annual pass in Nov 2012 during my short camping trip to Joshes Tree National Park.

With the annual pass in hand, I said to myself: “why not start off the new year with a camping trip to a national park that i never been to.” So, there i was, stated of 2013 with a 4 days/3nights camping trip at the Death Valley National Park with Ebie and Mimi.

I spent my new year’s day preparing food and packing for the trip.
